Federal Inland Revenue Service Salary Structure 2023 | FIRS Current Salary

An average FIRS staff who is placed on Grade level 8 has a salary structure of N1,247,854 per annum. That is, 1.2 million naira per annum for grade 8 FIRS staff. The salary structure could be further broken down to N103,987 (one hundred and three thousand nine hundred and eighty seven naira) per month without pension and tax deduction.Npower Recruitment

Grade level 7 FIRS staff has a salary structure of N1,073,217 per annum, which amounts to N89,434 per month without pension or tax deductions.

The Senate committee on Finance recently asked the management of the Federal Inland Revenue Service to explain the rationale behind its 16 billion naira budget in 2016 for the recruitment of 1,250 staff this year.List of recipes for the chicken sauce and how to prepare

The Senate committee also demanded that the agency provide the details of the 1.6 billion naira appropriated in the budget for retired staff of FIRS.

While going through the financial details of the FIRS, the senate committee complained about the 700 million naira budget allocated for medical bills of staff, stating that the amount is quite high for the medical bills.

The FIRS informed the senate panel that the 1.6 billion naira in its fiscal document was meant for staff who retired last year, and for those due for retirement this year.

The Senate committee during the meeting observed that the FIRS proposed in 2015, 350 million naira and received the approval of 148 million naira. However, they spent only 116 million of the approved amount.

How Much Does FIRS Pay Their Staff Monthly Based on Position?

The Federal Inland Revenue Service has a set of rules with determines how much it’s staff members will get paid based on their Grade level, position held, and years in service.

For example, a junior account at FIRS earning N65,000 with two years of experience will be eligible for 52 weeks of severance pay at 90% after leaving federal employment. Whereas, a new individual would expect 250 days with half salary if terminated from work without cause or due process.JAMB Result
