A woman named Folashade Olalude was arraigned before the Ebute-Metta Chief Magistrate Court on Friday on charges of alleged cyberbullying and threats to kill a businessman.
The defendant appeared before Chief Magistrate Olwatosin Fowowe-Erusiafe and faced four counts, including conspiracy, intent to steal, cyberbullying, and threat to kill, brought against her by the police.NYSC Portal

The prosecutor also stated that the defendant had sent threatening messages to the businessman, including a letter in October 2023, where she threatened to kill him. The charges against her contravened Sections 411, 301, and 232 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.informationguidenigeria
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges, and her lawyer requested bail, stating that the charges were bailable. The magistrate granted her bail in the sum of N200,000, with two sureties in like sum, but ordered that she be remanded in the Kirikiri female section of the Nigerian Correctional Services facility until she meets the bail conditions.
The case was adjourned until March 14, 2024, for trial.
