When it comes to restricting background data on your iPhone, you can decide if you want it for all apps or individual app.

You can also choose to restrict background app refresh to only Wi-Fi, meaning when mobile data is on, apps would not refresh in the background, and they would only do when you are connected to Wi-Fi.

How to Restrict Background Data for Specific Apps on your iPhone

To manage background data for individual apps, follow these steps;

  • Step 1; from your home screen, go to settings>general. dollar to naira rate
  • Step 2; tap background app refresh. It will show you a list of apps that uses background app refresh. Turn off background app refresh for an individual app by clicking the toggle and switching it from green to grey.

How to Restrict Background Data for all iPhone Apps

  • Click on “background app refresh” then choose background app refresh again
