1.) Chief Nurse (Migration Health)
Location: Abuja
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing, Community or Public Health, Infectious Diseases, Tropical Medicine or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or
- University degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience.
Experience:
- Training or working experience in the areas of Tuberculosis management, mass
- immunizations, communicable diseases, laboratory testing, epidemiology, programme management or public health is an advantage;
- Understanding of evidence-based clinical skills and demonstrated experience promoting nursing best practice, nurse educator etc.;
- Familiarity with IOM’s administrative, financial, and business rules and practices; and,
- Experience working on migration health and/or public health topics of international concern.
Skills:
- Good knowledge of nursing principles, techniques and procedures: knowledge of public health as well as general migration related issues;
- Demonstrated ability to maintain detail, accuracy and confidentiality at all levels of the health assessment process;
- Knowledge of specialized medical software is required. Knowledge of eMedical and Mimosa Web is an advantage;
- Good level of computer literacy;
- Excellent proven written and oral communication skills; ability to clearly communicate health-related topics to non-health audiences; and,
- Ability to work in close coordination with a broad range of different units, divisions and colleagues on various topics/initiatives to achieve a common objective.
Languages:
- IOM’s official languages are English, French, and Spanish.
- For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written).
- Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.

2.) Community Engagement and Hygiene Promotion Facilitator
Location: Borno
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- Completed University Diploma in Public Health, Environmental Health, or similar fields.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years for a university diploma or a year for a degree
- Experience in the humanitarian field, NGO, and INGO is mandatory
- Demonstrated ability to maintain integrity in performing the responsibility assigned
- Proactive; independent worker; A great team player; Fast Learner; IT Literate: Interpersonal skill; Communication and negotiation skills; Administrative & Time Management skills; Proficiency in Microsoft applications; Must have strong analytical, planning and people management skills; Ability to prepare clear and concise report
- Trusted by the community, with certain maturity in making decisions, widely accepted, respected
- Possess good leadership skills and ability to explain instructions clearly to WASH Committees and Site maintenance team
- Ability to motivate and manage teams of WaSH Committees and Site maintenance teams in collaboration with WaSH staff
- Not biased towards men, accept the role of women in decision-making on key issues and respect gender sensitivities in the community
- Have some prior knowledge of health, hygiene, and community mobilisation. Willing and open to learning about hygiene promotion and community mobilisation work.
- Have enthusiasm characterised by being motivated to support IOM and communities in voluntary commitment.
