All interested applicants should know that the portal for Custom Recruitment 2021/2022 is now open. This is another chance for applicants who couldn’t get recruited the last time out to re-kindle their custom dream it is also an avenue for fresh bees in the examinations to get recruited into The Nigerian Customs Service.

This year’s recruitment comes along with some intriguing news as the Custom service plans to employ as many as 3200 candidates to be Custom service personnel into three different cadres namely;

  • Superintendent Cadre
  • Inspectorate Cadre
  • Assistant Cadre

Today I will give you guidelines in registering for the recruitment.

Guidelines for NCS recruitment 

The recruitment form for the Nigerian Custom is totally free

  • Visit the official Nigerian Custom Service recruitment portal for 2021/2022. www.vacancy.gov.custom.ng. The portal has been closed for some time now but if it is been updated we will give you updates to that effect.
  • The portal is where every document is submitted, applicants are to ensure that all documents are scanned properly and uploaded.
  • Submission of multiple applications will lead to disqualification of that applicant’s application, Therefore there is a need to go over your details to spot mistakes.
  • The shortlist of successful candidates will be followed up by the screening process.

How to Apply.

  • You are to select the cadre that best fits you or your qualification that is Superintendent Cadre, Inspectorate Cadre, Assistant Cadre.
  • Go through the requirement, operations, and guidelines of the Job and select the “Apply for this Job” Tab.
  •  Select the Job function and basic information
  •  Select and read up the Terms and conditions.
  • After confirming the robot check you are to click apply.
  • Verify your account from your Gmail account.
  • From that point, you will be taken back to the login page. where you are expected to supply your email and password.
  • After signing in you are required to fill all relevant spaces.
  • You are to upload a recently taken passport photograph with specifications like 

 The format of the photograph should be JPG, JPEG, PNG, image file.

The maximum size of the photograph should be 200kb

The photo pixel should be at a maximum of 600*600

Scanned photograph should be well cropped before upload

Your photograph should be an individual photo that is not grainy or blurred and it should be taken against a plain background

If you wear headgear for religious purposes you’re to expose your face for capture.

Enhanced or Edited photographs will not be accepted

The photo must be a full face-and-shoulders shot, squarely facing the camera.

The orientation of the photograph should be portrait.

Photographs with shades are not accepted

    • You have to select your physical ability status, supply your NYSC certificate number and the year you completed the program in the fields provided, choose the mode in which you will want to be identified, and supply the document number, Your height and chest measurement should be supplied as well in 2 decimal places.

Documents to be Uploaded:

    • Load the Birth Certificates /Age declaration certificates, Medical certificates, State of origin certificates.
    • The maximum size for the document in pdf format should be 200kb.
    • Parents Consent form.
    • Parents guidance form.
    • Police report.

Requirements For Recruitment Into The Custom Service.

  • You must be a Nigerian by birth or descent.
  • Applicant should be between the age range of 18-30
  • Your height limit for males is 1.7m and for females 1.64
  • For male candidates; their chest breath should not be less than 0.87.
  • You need to have a Doctor’s report to show if you are mentally and physically fit to be qualified for recruitment into the Custom Service
  • Must not be suffering from any physical and mental disability.
  • You must have no track record of financial embarrassment.
  • You must be of good morals and conduct without criminal records
  • You are to present a State of Origin certificate with signature by either the Local government Chairman or Secretary. Signatures appended by Liason officers will be unaccepted.

 Requirements Based On The Cadre.

Custom A” Superintendent Cadre (Supportive staffs):

  • Senior ranking officers consisting of Assistant Superintendent of Customs.
  • Applicants are to be between the age range of 18-30 years
  • Applicants are to possess a Bachelor’s Degree or an HND in any of the selected fields of study and an NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate. Dollar to Naira Rate

  • Mid-Level officers comprising of Assistant Inspectors of Customs.
  • Applicants who possess ND/NCE obtained from accredited Polytechnics in any of the selected fields of study in the cadre.
  • Applicants are between the age range of 18 – 25years

  • Applicants who have SSCE/NECO or GCE with credits pass in Five O’level subjects are obtained at one sitting and passes in at least two other subjects. OR GCE Ordinary Level 5 credit passes obtained at one sitting or five or more subjects including English and Mathematics obtained at not more than two sittings for Customs Assistant Grade-II – CONSOL 04.
  • Applicants must show evidence of full course in Government approved first school leaving certificate or JSSC OR relevant Trade Test certificate for Customs Assistant – CONSOL 03. Pounds to Naira

Functions Of The Custom Service.
