The All Progressives Grand Alliance has stated that it will not support Mr. Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, in the general elections in 2023.
After a secret meeting between Anambra State Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo and members of APGA, extensive rumours circulated that Soludo had instructed the party faithful to work against Peter Obi, alleging that the governor aspired to the presidency after Atiku Abubakar.

Hurry Now click here to Apply >> Immigrate to CanadaBut Soludo, through his Press Secretary Mr. Christian Aburime, swiftly refuted the widespread allegation, alleging that Obi was never a topic of discussion during the normal meeting and that only APGA-related topics were discussed.
However, while speaking to media in Awka on Thursday, Mr. Chinedu Obigwe, National Coordinator of the APGA Media Warriors Forum, emphasised that the party will work against Obi in favour of APGA candidates.
Obigwe stated that it is in the best interest of APGA supporters to oppose Obi and support APGA candidates.
He stated that APGA remained dedicated to supporting all of its candidates in the elections.
He stated that anyone who expects APGA to support the former Anambra State governor in the 2023 election is “living in self-deception and a fool’s paradise.”

“I don’t know how to paint words or to be economical with the truth hence my reason for maintaining my stand that Peter Obi’s ill–conceived presidential ambition is dead on arrival.”
