What is the NYSC Call Up Letter

The NYSC Call-Up letter is an official letter from the National Youth Service Corp to Prospective Corps Members inviting them to the NYSC Orientation Camp. The NYSC Call-Up letter can be printed directly from the NYSC portal, or downloaded as PDF into a mobile phone. However you will be required to make a payment of N3,000 to print or download the Call-Up letter. If you do not wish to pay the three thousand naira (N3,000) charge, then you will have to visit your institution to obtain your Call-Up letter.

The management of the National Youth Service Corps scheme has directed that anyone who fails to report to the NYSC orientation camp as indicated in the Call-Up letter and refuses to take part in the service corps will be prosecuted in line with the provisions of Section 13 sub-section 19(a)and (b) of the NYSC Act, Cap. N84, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

Documents Needed for the NYSC Orientation Camp Screening

When going to the NYSC orientation camp, ensure you have the follow documents with you:NYSC Call-Up Letter

  1. Graduates who studied in Nigeria are to camp with: Bachelor’s Degree/HND Certificates or Statement of results. School/Final year Identity Card, Green Card, Call-up letter, Medical Certificate of Fitness, eight (8) Passport photograph.JAMB Result
  2. Graduates who studied outside Nigeria are to come to the camp with: Original copies of all the documents uploaded during the on-line registration for verification.WAEC Result
  3. Foreign trained graduates are to ensure that the academic papers in other languages are translated into English language, and both versions are to be presented for verification.
  4. All Medical/veterinary Doctors. Dentists, Pharmacists, Optometrists, Physiotherapists Nurses and Public Environmental Health graduates should report to camp with their professional licenses or certificates of full registration issued by their professional bodies.
