BREAKING: Bandits attack hospital, kill two, abduct doctor, many others in Niger

Armed gunmen have reportedly killed two persons at the Abdulsalam Abubakar General Hospital Hospital, Gulu, Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State.Infomation Guide Nigeria

They also kidnapped more than ten individuals, including the hospital’s doctor and pharmacist, among others.

Tuesday at approximately 2:00 a.m., DAILY POST has learned that an event occurred in the early morning hours.

According to reports, one of those killed was a retired medical professional named Ya-Tachi who resided right across from the hospital.

During their operation, it was learned that a big number of bandits rushed the hospital while firing erratically without interference from security personnel or local vigilantes.

Zakari Nda, a local resident, told our correspondent during a telephone conversation that gunmen attacked the hospital, killing two people.

“They arrived in large numbers and were shooting sporadically, which sent fears into the people during the period of their operation.

“At the end of the operation, many people were abducted and some wounded,” he stated.

In addition, he demanded that the administration and security forces of Niger State rise to the occasion and take the necessary steps to put an end to the ongoing attacks on civilian communities.Jamb Result 

This is the fourth time in recent years that kidnappers have targeted several communities in this region.

Due to the absence of both security agents and local vigilantes during the attack, the occurrence has exacerbated the anger among the locals.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, could not be reached at the time this report was written despite efforts to obtain a response from the State Police command.Jamb Result
