How to score high in JAMB 2022 - How I Scored 303 in JAMB

Beforehand, you may have been convinced into the cliché, “who 300+ epp in JAMB, Las Las you go come back next year”. I want you to cancel such negative thoughts. Never concede to those that would make you believe that you can’t do it, that you would remain a regular customer to JAMB.

This is not in any way part of your destiny. It is not part of your life to fail or get a low score in JAMB. You are destined for greatness and that is what you should be. Your words should echo “Success”; your steps, “Power”; and your movements, “Wisdom”.

I know you may be thinking, “what’s with all these motivational speeches again”, “I’ve heard this a dozen times”, and all that.

I want you to know that I am not in any way trying to motivate you. I just want to educate you, I want to share my knowledge with you, and it is totally up to you to grab the contents of this message or continue to wallow in your ignorance. It is up to you to decide.

Moving forward, WHAT I DID DIFFERENTLY

1. Like I explained earlier, I pointed out that you need to think of yourself as a success. Thus is chiefly guided by “The Law of Attraction”. It is as simple as this, you attract to yourself what you conceive in your thoughts. If you think and say to yourself, “I am a success, I have made 300+ in my JAMB examinations”, slowly your entire being gets conditioned to that score and you would be few steps to achieving it.

On the contrary, if you are always negative and would think, “Can I make it, I am not intelligent, I don’t have what it takes”, then you would get that as well. You cannot blame the mind anyway, besides you are the one that told it that it was not capable of making a success. Choose today to feed your thoughts with positivity.

2. Write down your dream score:

Get a note, write down the score you wish to get after your JAMB exam. Write out why you want to make that score. It must not be one reason.

You can outline it as follows: jamb result

  • I want to score 340 in my JAMB examinations
  • I want to be counted among the best students in JAMB examinations, ever recorded.
  • I wish to make not just my parents and guardians, but myself proud.
  • I want to gain admission into the University this year and I cannot be stopped.
  • I pray for God’s grace and control over this, I believe that it has come to completion through Christ Jesus. Amen.

Don’t write it and leave it stuck up all alone in your locker. Go through it each day and proclaim words of affirmation over it.

Again, your dream score should be congruent with the cutoff mark of the Institution of your choice; or even more than that.

Let’s say the course I applied for requires a cutoff mark of 303, then my dream score should be roughly 350+

3. Get the JAMB Syllabus and study effectively:

There is a big difference between effective and adequate studying habits. If you study effectively, you are reading the right materials, if adequately, you are studying with a gross amount of resources.

The issue with the adequate study is that you barely have time to complete all that you obtained for the exam. You might end up reading the unnecessary details. I had a friend back then in Secondary school, Hadiza.

Hadiza had so many books and Texts. She was intelligent and always teasing too. Unluckily when the results were out, she performed poorly. I had to call her up to understand the reason for her sober attitude while most people were rejoicing. That was when she told me, that what she had been reading did not come out on the exam. I felt sad for her because she gave in so much effort to her study. waec result checker

I would not want you to make the same mistake as Hadiza did. JAMB does not ask questions beyond their scope, so do well to study with the Syllabus. Past questions and answer booklets are also very efficient tools to use.

4. Read all the time:

“There is time for everything”, so does the Bible say. However, with your exams coming up and envisioning your target, you can do all these at the same time. There is no law anywhere against multi-tasking, and I assure you, it helps you cut down on procrastination and lazy attitudes towards studying.

When your mind is conditioned in a manner that it feels occupied and busy all the time, then you can be able to leave out the distractions. You must not carry your books everywhere you go, you can memorize or do a recitation of what you read previously. Another mistake people are fond of is reciting study materials loudly. This does not only distract other people studying in the room but also, creates a form of noise in your head. This makes you study for a longer time, as it takes an even longer time to sink in your head.

If you find some subjects tougher than the rest, then you should devote more time to studying those. Don’t stop reading it because you feel it is hard to understand, or because it is bulky. Start small, allocate a definite amount of time you would spend each day on it, and do not miss it.

5. Practice CBT tests:

Not many people like doing this, because they feel that their score may give them exam jitters or they might stop reading due to overconfidence before the exam.

It’s quite ok if you cannot do it, but I think you should give it a try beside it’s not your main exam.

That’s it on how to score high mark in jamb, I hope you would implement these. They may be challenging at first, but with time you would get used to it. Go and break a leg in your Exams. I look forward to welcoming the latest best student in JAMB 2022.
