The President said this on Monday while declaring open the 9th General Assembly of the African First Ladies Peace Mission (AFLPM) chaired by his wife, Aisha Buhari at the Presidential House in Abuja. CHANNELS reports.

President Buhari expatiated that the activities of bandits have led to widespread displacement and hunger in the continent, leaving women and children most miserable.
He equally asked African First Ladies to drive the processes of peace.

First Ladies of Ghana, Burundi, Congo Brazzaville, Cote D’Ivoire, Congo, Liberia, Sao Tome and Principe, Mauritania, Sierra Leone among other diplomats and top government functionaries were at the event.
