1.) Systems Enhancement Accountant

Location: Abuja

Minimum Recruitment Standard

  • MSc in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration or its recognized equivalent with 5 – 7 years relevant experience
  • Experience in accounting and accounting principles sufficient to prepare complex and detailed financial and budgetary analyses
  • Experience in financial reporting, and financial management systems applications.
  • Experience with USAID-funded programs and non-governmental organizations in Nigeria
  • CPA, ACA or recognized equivalent is required.

Minimum Recruitment Standards

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science or other relevant field with 2-4 years experience in software development, DHIS 2 configuration. Deployment skills will be an added advantage
  • MBBS / MPH / MSc or similar Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, General Statistics or Biostatistics, Health Informatics and/or Management or M&E with 1 to 2 years relevant experience in project-level or state/national-level monitoring and evaluation system implementation.
  • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.

3.) Technical Officer – Database

Location: Adamawa

Job Description

  • The Technical Officer – Database will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of data processing.
  • S/he is responsible for the planning, maintenance and development of the project’s databases and Geographical information system (GIS). Other responsibilities include, the design and creation of spatial products, including maps, digital data, reports and statistics.
  • S/he will administer and maintain the project’s DBMS, monitor and optimize the DBMS and coordinate data management issues (e.g., deletion of records, query management, Internet reports) within the data users’ group. Run checks to ensure the security and confidentiality of the AHNI/Nigeria identifiable health data.
  • Monitor research staff’s compliance with confidentiality policies to assure that security standards are met and advice on the acquisition of the appropriate Database Management Systems as needed.

Minimum Recruitment Standards

  • MSc / MA Geographic Information Systems, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or its recognized equivalent, and 4 – 6 years post-national youth service relevant experience.
  • BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or its recognized equivalent with 5 – 7 years post-national youth service relevant experience.
  • Strong background in geospatial and health information systems (GIS) and/or database management is required.

4.) Senior Technical Officer – Prevention, Care & Treatment (KP)

Location: Anambra

Minimum Recruitment Standard

  • MBBS / MD / PHD or similar degree with 5 to 6 years relevant experience with at least 5 years progressive experience working in the health or development field in Nigeria
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in care and treatment for HIV/AIDS especially with ARV program.
  • Possession of an MPH or post graduate degree in a related field is required.
  • Proven experience in project development, planning and facilitating technical training.
  • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health system and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.

5.) Program Officer

Location: Anambra

Minimum Recruitment Standard

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Sciences, Health Sciences or behavioral sciences
  • 5-7 years working experience in development & humanitarian programs at the community level with at least 3-5 years’ experience with HIV/AIDS program planning and implementation working with public and NGO sectors required.
  • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS programs in Nigeria.
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and understanding of the political and ethical issues surrounding HIV infection.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially in terms of reporting.
  • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health system and NGOs, CBOs and IDP intervention is an added advantage.
  • Experience working in resource poor or emergency response and humanitarian situations.

6.) Senior Accountant

Location: Abuja

Job Description

  • Will be responsible for accounting and finance and overall operational administration for the PR Office and ensure compliance with the contractual requirements of Nigeria’s programs/projects with the objective of providing professional accountancy services consistent with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • S/He will provide main support with operational problem resolution on HQ Office cash accounts, bank resolutions, finance systems, resolution of audited questioned costs, and financial close outs at the state level. Ensure the accurate keeping of all books of account for the HQ office, including checking account, equipment and supply registers and all accounting records.

  • Or MS/MA degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration or its recognized equivalent, and 3 – 5 years relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in office management and administration.
  • CPA, ACA, ICAN, CIMA, CFE or any other relevant professional qualification is required.
  • Experience in managing financial records of donor-funded organizations, and familiarity with donor and local contractual procedures is an advantage.

7.) Finance & Operations Assistant

Location: Abuja

Job Description

  • Will be responsible for the provision of accounting, administrative, and logistical support services to AHNi HQ Offices.
  • S/He will assist in the preparation of monthly financial report forms, which accompany executed sub-awardee project documents, attend to all administrative functions in the finance unit, prepare monthly reporting/ budgets data entry into excel spreadsheets and automated MIS reports and disseminate information to AHNi State offices/HQ.
  • Also, s/he will manage and ensure quality in all GF events logistics – Reservations (Accommodation/Flights/Venue etc.), meals, event materials, attendance, support finance with needed information’s/documents to make prompt participants payment, support in the State office’s procurement process including, but not limited to, purchase requests, prequalifying vendors, soliciting quotes, collating quotation/bids from prequalified/potential vendors, the vendor selection process through receipt and payment for goods and/or services etc.

Minimum Recruitment Standard

  • University Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • Experience with administrative and secretarial skills
  • Sound accounting skills
  • Experience with large complex organization is required, familiarity with international NGOs preferred.

  • MB.BS / MD / PHD or similar degree with 7 to 9 years relevant experience with at least 7 years progressive experience working in the health or development field in Nigeria
  • Possession of an MPH or post graduate degree in a related field is required
  • Proven experience in project development, planning and facilitating technical training
  • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health system and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.
  • Clinical management and training experience and ability to understand full range of issues around the clinical management of HIV/AIDS, including provision of ART
  • Knowledge of Nigerian clinical setting, including government and non-government settings
  • Proven ability in supervising staff.

9.) Technical Officer – PMTCT, PrEP & CACX

Location: Adamawa

Job Description

  • Will provide technical and programmatic support to implement high quality care and support activities with primary focus on clinical management of HIV/AIDS, Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV/AIDS, Reproductive Health/Family Planning (RH/FP), TB and integrated medical services at the state level.
  • S/He will coordinate the effective implementation of Cervical Cancer Prevention Program in the State, increase the awareness of CA CX to high-risk individuals in the Facility and community. Provide strategic direction, technical oversight, and ensure appropriate support for the development and implementation of program activities in Cervical Cancer prevention.
  • S/He will support the planning, coordination and supervision of cervical cancer screening activities in ACE-supported facilities; support training facilitation of health care providers on cervical cancer prevention program and PrEP and build the capacity of the health facility staff and service providers in documentation, data collection and analysis.

Minimum Recruitment Standards

  • MB.BS / MD / PHD or similar Degree with 3 to 5 years relevant experience in clinical care with a sound understanding of HIV/AIDS with provision of PMTCT and anti-retroviral therapy (ART) including TB in resource constrained settings.
  • Possession of an MPH or post graduate degree in a related field is an advantage
  • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.
