  • Diploma in Administrative Services, Office Management, Secretarial and Clerical related studies with 3 years of relevant bilingual secretarial work experience in public organization, diplomatic mission, international organization or international nongovernmental organizations.

Academic Requirements and Relevant Experience

  • Master’s degree in Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Law, Commerce, Business Administration or Public Administration with 7 years post qualification experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Public Procurement, Administration out of which 3 years should be at a supervisory level

  • Bachelor’s degree in similar studies with 10 years’ relevant experience and 3 years at Supervisor level.
  • Experience in web-based management / ERP system, such as SAP.

4.) Head of Division Digital Trade (AfCFTA)

Academic Requirements and Relevant Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Economics, International Trade, International Relations, International Law, Technology-related disciplines, and/or related areas with twelve (12) years of relevant experience at increasingly senior levels in the field of corporate communications. Seven (7) of these years should be at senior management level and five (5) should involve a supervisory role.
  • Certificates in Digital trade related matters such as e-commerce, data protection and privacy (governance), cyber security etc shall be an added advantage.

  • A Master’s Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, International Trade, Engineering or relevant field, with fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in Industrial Development, mineral resource development or entrepreneurship development with progressively responsible positions, of which eight (8) years at managerial level and Five (5) years at supervisory level.

6.) African Union Commission Internship Program

Location: Ethiopia

Eligibility Requirements

  • Actively enrolled in at least the final year of a Bachelor’s Degree program OR
  • Must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced / Post graduate (Master’s) qualification in a related academic field.
  • Be nationals of a Member State of the African Union.
  • Be full-time students currently enrolled in the final year of their Bachelor’s or Graduate School Program.
  • Be fluent in at least one of the African Union working languages (Arabic, English, French or Portuguese).
  • Be no more than thirty-two (32) years of age at the time of selection.
  • Possess the highest standard of moral conduct and integrity.
  • Have not been convicted of any serious criminal offence excluding minor traffic offences.
  • Prior work experience is not required for the internship positions.

Terms and Conditions

  • The AU will have no financial obligation towards interns – travel arrangements and cost of accommodation and living expenses will be the responsibility of the interns.
  • AU will use reasonable efforts to assist the interns in obtaining their entry and residence visas.
  •  Interns will not be entitled to any compensation for travel.
  • The internship will be authorized only once for three (3) month renewable one time for any candidate.
  • Interns are not entitled to medical travel or medical evacuation to and from the internship location at the expenses of the Commission. Interns shall therefore have an individual insurance coverage throughout the duration of the internship.

Academic Requirements and Relevant Experience

  • Degree equivalent to Doctor of Medicine or Ph.D in Relevant Medical Sciences from a recognized institute or university. In addition, to the Doctor of Medicine or a Ph.D, a Master’s degree in public health (MPH), or epidemiology or equivalent is required.
  • At least 15 years of experience in public health management, planning, or public policy development with evidence of ever-increasing levels of responsibility at the national level or above.
  • At least 15 years’ proven experience in operational management of a public health organization at country, regional or continental level, with at least ten (10) years of managerial experience involving a minimum of five (5) years supervisory exposure.
  • Preferably having a working experience in international organizations
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities

  • Must have a Degree in Medicine (MD or MBBS plus BMBCh) with 12 years post qualification relevant work experience within a government hospital or private practice, or an International organization which 7 years should be at managerial level and 5 years at supervisory level
  • Must have specialization in one of these specialties: Laboratory Medicine, Radiology or Clinical Pharmacology (mandatory).
  • Must be a Member/ MMED of a professional Regional Postgraduate Medical College of Pathologists, Radiologists or Pharmacologists) with Ten (10) years work experience, including 5 years as Head of Department.

OR

  • Fellow of a professional Regional Postgraduate Medical College of Pathologists, Radiologists or Pharmacologists) with Eight (7) years work experience in a clinical role, including 3 years as Head of Department.
  • Must be licensed to practice medicine as a specialist in Laboratory Medicine/ Radiology/ Pharmacology in his/her home country or country of residence, as at the time of application (mandatory).
  • Experience as head of a clinical unit, section, service or department will be an advantage.
  • Documented training in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

Academic Requirements and Relevant Experience

  • Experience as head of a clinical unit, section, service or department will be an advantage.
  • Clinical specialization in one of these specialties of Pathology (Haematology, Chemical Pathology, Microbiology/ Virology, Anatomical Pathology, Parasitology) will be mandatory:
  • Membership/ MMED of a professional Regional College of Pathologists listed above with eight (8) years work experience in a clinical role. OR
  • Fellowship of a professional Regional College of Pathologists listed above with five (6) years work experience in a clinical role.
