1.) Senior Product Designer

Location: Lagos

Requirements
You’re a great fit if:

  • Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications
  • You possess 6+ years of professional product design experience
  • You have experience designing and shipping consumer-facing experiences for web and mobile
  • You possess strong UX craft, visual design and written communication — you can break down complex experiences and design with consideration for all touchpoints
  • You have experience working in a collaborative, remote environment with, engineers and cross-functional teams
  • You’re fluent in Figma, Photoshop, and prototyping tools
  • You’re open-minded
  • Experience in financial services is a plus.

  • Have at least 6 years’ experience writing and shipping production-grade code that makes a real impact. We don’t mind where you got the experience, but having some is crucial.
  • Be comfortable working across the stack and be curious about new technologies. We would prefer if in addition to this versatility and curiosity, you have deep experience or specialization in one of front-end, back-end, infrastructure or Blockchain technology.

4.) Solidity Engineer

Location: Lagos (Remote)

Requirements
You might be a great fit for the role of Blockchain engineer if:

  • You have experience working on blockchain technologies: In this role you will research, experiment, invent new products generally related to blockchain and automation space. Curiosity and fearlessness are key ingredients. In short, you must be able to take on new technical challenges without much supervision.
  • You hold yourself and others to a high bar when working with production systems: You will design, build and maintain APIs, user-facing experiences, services, and systems. You will engineer money-movement infrastructure, data pipelines, banking systems, and more. You will leverage the best of Afriex’s stack and build from the ground up when needed.
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts: Implementing a production-ready financial platform is difficult interdisciplinary work. We’re seeking someone who’s up to the challenge. You should not be afraid to ask a lot of questions: you should know how to notice when you’re confused and say so when you are. At the same time, you should have the drive and the organizational skills to take charge of your learning. We’ll work together to strike a healthy balance between collaboration and independence.
  • You have strong skills for asynchronous communication and remote work: Work at Afriex has always been asynchronous and fully remote, and will continue to be so after the COVID-19 pandemic’s travel restrictions are over. We’re looking for an empathetic person who doesn’t mind collaborating asynchronously, with the excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to thrive in that environment. After it is safe to travel, we plan to bring the team together in person approximately once per quarter (but we won’t be doing that until it is safe).
