Guarantee Trust Bank, popularly known as GTB is one of the leading African banks that offers Internet or online banking, corporate banking, retail banking, investment banking, and asset management services.

Bank Verification Number (BVN) on the other hand, is an 11-digit digit number that was introduced by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in collaboration with all the banks operating in the country to curb all forms of financial theft and fraud.

One of the major reasons why the BVN was developed was to curb the increasing compromise on conventional security systems (such as PINs and Passwords) in the banking system. The BVN’s main function is to provide a database of watch-listed people and put an end to fraud incidence in the banking sector.

Without further ado, let’s quickly look at the different ways through which you can check your BVN on GTB.
