We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Senior Research Manager

Location: Nigeria (Remote)

What You Will Be Doing

  • Guide the UX research team (and broader Insights team) to craft studies that help shape outcomes and user behaviors. Identify and make recommendations for product and strategy improvements based on data insights.
  • Plan and lead large scale research (physical and virtual) across the African continent and the African diaspora. We use a combination of moderated and unmoderated methods to learn more about our users and bring their voice to design conversations
  • Work with designers, growth marketing, analytics, product and other areas of the business to formulate research questions across a variety of markets – including B2C, B2B and Developer-facing experiences
  • Maintain an insights library formulated from past and current research and identify gaps in our team’s knowledge of Chipper’s users.
  • Grow the Insights team’s influence and promote data-driven decision making as a core company value.

What You Should Have

  • We’re looking for someone who enjoys framing tomorrow’s research strategy as much as throwing together a quick survey to address today’s pain points.
  • You should have 4+ years specifically in user research or similar experience, and at least 2 years of managerial experience.
  • You are comfortable leading conversations around user research, forming task groups, and unafraid to challenge assumptions.
  • You are fluent in research methodology, experienced in delivering practical and insightful UX recommendations for company strategy, and demonstrate a depth of knowledge for African contexts and nuances.

Our Design Principles:

  • UX Researchers sit at the intersection of Insights, Design, Product Management, and all other stakeholders within Chipper Cash. From pairing with developers to facilitating cross-team workshops, designers help bring ideas to life.
  • Designers are also responsible for incorporating Chipper’s design principles into their work.

2.) Global Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance

Location: Nigeria (Remote)

What You Will Be Doing

  • Determine and maintain an inventory of all regulatory, commercial and organisational compliance requirements.
  • Work with our business owners and stakeholders to align policy and standards to the wider business objectives – enabling the business in a pragmatic way.
  • Facilitate the creation and modification of all Risk, Governance and compliance and standards and frameworks.
  • Create, implement and maintain a training and awareness program that educates the end-user community on relevant compliance requirements, risks and certifies their adherence to the relevant compliance controls across multiple cultures.
  • Create a Chipper compliance risk assessment framework and periodically assess regulatory, commercial and organizational, inherent and residual compliance risks.
  • Regulatory reporting in all jurisdictions, including for our banking partners.
  • Identify associated compliance control gaps and oversee the documentation, implementation and testing of the compliance control portfolio.
  • Develop and direct compliance control monitoring programs to ensure IT compliance – related risks are managed to the appropriate level of acceptable residual risk.
  • Implement and maintain a compliance issue management tracking and resolution process that will address known issues, according to severity and potential impact to the organisation.
  • Report the levels of risk and control effectiveness to key stakeholders such as Information Security, IT, business unit management, senior management, board of directors, legal management, regulators, internal/external auditors, etc.
  • Coordinate audit-related tasks such as ensuring the readiness of organisations for audit testing and facilitating the timely resolution of any audit findings
  • Provide advice and insight on compliance requirements to non-Compliance Managers such as the general counsel, chief compliance officer (CCO), chief risk officer (CRO), etc.

Regulatory Compliance Activities:

  • Work with risk & compliance representatives to identify all related compliance requirements (i.e. privacy, data integrity, etc.) associated with the laws and regulations within all relevant jurisdictions.
  • Ensure all related compliance policies and standards are updated, based on any relevant regulatory changes or new laws.
  • Create a regulatory change management process that identifies and coordinates the modification of related techno functions, business processes and/or compliance controls.

What You Should Have 

  • Proven experience developing and submitting compliance reports to governing bodies, legal entities and/or external authorities
  • Experience in planning, organising and developing policies, standards, procedures and practices
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, including 3rd party assessments and assurance
  • Exceptional leadership and relationship management experience to build and manage a talented team working across investigations, financial crime and or related  control area
  • Ability to translate understanding of the organisation’s goals and objectives into pragmatic compliance requirements
  • Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Able to influence, persuade and collaborate with senior business leaders and external parties to ensure solid outcomes.

3.) Revenue Strategy Manager

Location: Nigeria

What You Will Be Doing
Reporting to VP of Revenues you will:

  • Define, measure, & deliver KPI-driven Revenue strategies
  • Develop a solid understanding of regional and local trends and translate those into strategic opportunities to drive our ambitious growth objectives
  • Develop alignment and collaboration with leadership & other key stakeholders on how to prioritize countries and product launches
  • Translate market feedback into product requirements, and collect market intelligence to help guide the overall direction of our commercial and revenue strategy
  • Analyze performance data and provide data-driven insights to improve the performance of our commercial programs

  • 6+ years in sectors that rely on high volume transactions, in a strategy and commercial role and e.g. Fintech, Betting & Gaming, Online Travel, Marketplaces, Online Trading/FX etc. Experience in management consulting/Investment banking useful but not required
  • Proven experience in developing and executing Revenue strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Strong commercial acumen, strategy, planning, organizational skills
  • Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams and all levels of management
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, being comfortable with pulling reports, diving deep into the data and analyzing trends.

4.) Senior Pricing Manager

What You Should Have

  • 5+ years’ experience in consumer pricing strategy, Go-to-market pricing strategy
  • 2+ years’ experience in market research and competitive landscape analysis

5.) Senior Product Engineer, Crypto (React Native)

  • A passion for crypto whether it be following industry news, building your own blockchain or an avid user of crypto products.

  • 3+ years of experience in senior product management roles with a track record of delivering new products from scratch. Experience with products for SMBs definitely is a plus. Experience with other financial products is also a plus
