The Bank Verification Number (BVN) is a biometric identification system created by the Central Bank of Nigeria to curb illegal banking transactions in Nigeria.

To check your BVN number using any of the network providers in Nigeria will only cost you a sum of N10 at a time. This amount will be charged directly from your bank account whenever you dial the USSD Code *565*0#.JAMB Result

To avoid getting charged N10 every time you want to check your BVN number, it is recommended that after checking the BVN number, you write it down and keep it safe. For security reasons, you can choose to memorize this digit to avoid displaying the written paper. However, N10 is not a lot of money, so you always check your BVN when you need to say ease.
