How to Enable MTN Do Not Disturb on Your Phone

You will still be receiving messages from MTN and not from other marketers.

After you enable MTN do not disturb on your phone, two things will happen:

1. Fully Blocked mode allowing customers to Opt Out totally from receiving promotional messages via SMS and IVR.

2. Partially Blocked mode allowing customers to filter service categories for promotional messages they wish to receive. Any category not selected is blocked.

You don’t need to pay any money to enable MTN do not disturb on your phone. All you need are simple codes to activate or deactivate it.

How to Enable MTN Do Not Disturb

A customer will be able to perform the following DND activities via SMS

  • View Status
  • Activate full blocking
  • Activate partial blocking
  • Opt out of DND

To stop all promotional sms, you will need to text the word “STOP” to the short code 2442.

You will receive response saying, “Your request for FULL DND has been received and will be effective within 24 hours.

Alternatively, you can selectively block a particular services.
