GOOGLE NEXUS 6P Review, Specification and Price in Nigeria

GOOGLE NEXUS 6P Review, Specification and Price in Nigeria. This Google Nexus 6P is the successor to the 2014 Motorola designed Nexus 6. And in every aspect the Nexus 6P proved to be a great improvement over its predecessor.

In every sense, the Nexus 6P out classed the Nexus 6 and other Nexus devices before it. A faster processor, a liberal screen size, a manageable body size and weight. And an astounding design to wrap it up.

Huawei proved that it has come of age in the phone technology industry. The Nexus 6P is an all metal built smartphone. The edges and the rear are smoothly curved. Making it a beauty to behold.

The body size of 7.3mm and weight of 178g means the Nexus 6P is not as clumsy to be held as its elder brother; the Nexus 6.

Now, lets look at the design feature s of this device.

Right in front of the Nexus 6P are the front facing stereo speakers (2). And they are really good speakers that produce very loud and clear sound. The 8MP front facing camera and the RGB notification light are also there in the front.

Along the sides of the phone are the well placed standby button and volume button. While at the bottom you will find the USB type-C port

Flip the phone over, and you find a humped black glass strip along the well curved rear. This houses the camera and LED flash. Drop a little below the strip and you will find the tiny microphone for noise minimization. The below that is a well sized finger print scanner. And finally, the Nexus brand logo vertically and conspicuously stenciled at the back.

That is that for the design… Hope am not leaving out any important detail.

With a screen size of 5.7 and Gorilla Glass 4 for protection. You are sure of an ultra HD experience. So the phone is suitable for playing games, surfing the web, watching video and movies.

The Nexus 6P sports a 5.7 inch AMOLED panel. With a pixel dense QHD resolution. This reveals colours in an exceptionally accurate and bright manner. Like we see in the latest Samsung flagship devices.

Even when out in the sun, this 2k screen equally assures you of bright and vibrant views.

Days are gone when people are only enticed by the physical appearance of a phone. That is the design. And the display. That is the screen size, colour tone etc. These days, a lot of importance are attached to what the phone rocks under the hood. Because, these are the features that determines the overall performance of the device.

The Nexus 6P runs the latest Android v6.0(Marmallow). Internally, this device is powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon v2.1 processor. This is split into quad 2GHz and quad 1.5GHz. And supported by Adreno 430 GPU.

All this combined together guarantees you of fast operations, swift slide between screens, fluid fast task switching, flashing transitions and animations. And above all, quick and regular app update notification.

And the finger print scanner works perfectly well. Better than what we see in other latest high-end smartphones. All thanks to the marshmallow.

Yeah, you get notified of new apps and updates before other Android users. Don’t forget, it’s Google’s own phone.

This great device comes fitted with a 3 GB RAM. And internal memory of 32/64/128GB. But, no room for expansion.

So, it can handle any job thrown at it without breaking a sweat.

The Nexus 6P comes fitted with a rear camera of 12.3MP. With features such as phase detect autofocus, dual LED flash and even a 4k video capture capability. This guarantees you of a amazing pictures with every important detail in place.

Though, you can’t compare the images with what you get from the likes of iPhone 6s plus and Samsung Galaxy S6 with optical image stabilization(IOS) features.

The Nexus 6P is powered by a battery of 3450mAh capacity. This in actual sense is a decent battery for a phone with such stunning features.

However, sometimes huge battery capacity doesn’t guarantee a long lasting battery life.

But, with such a powerful processor and running the latest marshmallow, am optimistic that the Nexus 6P will offer a great battery experience.

And thanks to the QuickCharge feature of the phone. You are assured of a reasonable amount of juice within few minutes of charge.

This is enough to offset for any inefficiency in the battery performance.

On the onnectivity end, the 6P offers you all you can get from a high-end smartphone. Bluetooth v4.1, NFC(for Google pay), Wi-Fi, 4G.

1. The battery is not removable which is actually a no no for most Android enthusiasts.

2. Unlike it’s high-end counterparts, the phone lack the OIS which generally improves image quality.

3. No memory card slot. Which means that the memory capacity is limited to the inbuilt memory.

4. Unlike most recent high-end metallic smartphones, the Nexus 6P does not support wireless charging. Quite disappointing.
