We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1. Nutrition Assistant Consultant

National and Justification for Engagement
Save the Children Denmark secured funding for the implementation of a Hunger response in Rimi LGA, Katsina State for a period of 4 months starting from September 2021 up till 31st December 2021. Amongst others, the following activities will be implemented:

  • HEA Baseline Assessment Pounds to Naira
  • Identification, Assessment and selection of Local Partner
  • Identification and engagement of 167 Community Volunteers/Safe Space Facilitators for married adolescent group in target locations.
  • Training of CVs/Facilitators of safe spaces for married adolescents on maternal, infant and young child nutrition (MIYCN), preparation of Tom Brown Recipe among pregnant and lactating adolescent mothers and children under 2.
  • Training of 167 groups of pregnant and lactating adolescent mothers on MIYCN and Tom-brown preparation through cooking demonstration (12 participants per group). The reach will be 2004 pregnant or lactating mothers and 900 pregnant women.
  • Provision and distribution of prepared Tom Brown food items to pregnant and lactating mothers and children under 2 Pounds to Naira
  • Promotion of adequate health and nutrition behaviours among beneficiaries during distribution sessions
  • Sensitization of community members on importance of MIYCN behaviours.
  • Engaging with UNICEF on provision of micronutrient powders (MNPs) for 1,000 children 6-23months.
  • Monitoring of distribution sessions and home visits on preparation of Tom-Brown recipe and use of MNPs.
  • Therefore, the short-term Consultants will be engaged due to the short duration of the Award.

2. MEAL Assistant Consultant

3. MEAL Coordinator

Skills & Experience
Essential:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in M&E positions and/or program experience in field data collection in emergencies especially in the area of education, child protection & WASH
  • Detailed knowledge of M&E frameworks and M&E Plans, systems and indicator reference sheets
  • Experience maintaining programmatic databases
  • Good understanding of routine data quality checks/validation
  • Experience in survey and qualitative interviewing, including supervising field data collection teams and writing research case studies

4. Finance Analyst

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:

  • First Degree or its equivalent in Accounting/Finance
  • Professional qualification in accounting or significant progress towards qualification (ACCA, ICAN, ANAN, CFA, etc) added advantage
  • Previous 4-6 years Donor financial management and reporting experience in similar position in an INGO.
  • Experience of working in a multi-currency environment.
  • Experience working with Agresso, SAP etc.
  • Knowledge of donor financial reporting & budgeting for institutional and private donors like USAID, FCDO, GAC, ECHO, EU, UN Agencies.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately and pay attention to detail especially under pressure
  • Excellent MS Excel and analytical skills, ability to work with large amounts of data.
  • Good organization and administration skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritize own work to meet deadlines.

5. Procurement Officer

Qualifications

  • BA / B.Sc Degree in Management; Procurement, Logistics, Supply Shain Management or related field
  • Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS UK) or equivalent Experience
  • Master’s Degree in above fields is an added advantage

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience working in procurement, preferably in an NGO/and/or development program, with in depth experience in managing procurement processes
  • Strong knowledge and experience of implementing procurement processes, driving contract compliance and embedding buying best practice
  • Excellent supplier management skills and a strong ability to hold suppliers accountable to deliver on their responsibilities
  • Knowledge of NGO/Donor policies and their compliance requirements in respect of Procurement and wider supply chain activity
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks with competing priorities and simultaneously stick to deadlines, whilst maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers

  • Willingness to undertake field travel as required and work in difficult environments according to travel environments.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, Development, Organisational Leadership, International Relations, or relevant field.
  • Extensive and substantive relevant practical experience may be considered in lieu of a Master’s Degree.
