We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:
1.) Technical Assistant for Association of Women Living with HIV & AIDS in Nigeria (ASWHAN) Project Implementation 2022
Location: Abuja
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
- Advanced Degree in Public Health or Social Sciences with specialization in gender and development
- A Bachelor’s Degree in combination with 2 additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the Advanced University Degree.
Experience:
- At least 5 years’ proven knowledge and experience in HIV, Sexual and Reproductive Health/Rights and Gender, and 2 additional years with Bachelor’s degree.
- Demonstrate good understanding of the HIV/AIDS situation in sub-Saharan Africa and in Nigeria in particular.
- Should have experience in programme planning and implementation
- Should have undertaken at least two (2) similar assignments.
- Proven knowledge and experience in training and documentation
- Knowledge and experience in working with women associations and women led organizations.
- Proven experience in writing and editing reports, with a strong track record of producing similar publications for dissemination.
- Substantial knowledge of working with stakeholders in the development sector and donor agencies.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in oral and written English.

2.) Consultant to Conduct a Gender Responsive Assessment, Review and Audit of Procurement Laws, Policies, Regulations, and Institutions
Location: Nigeria
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
- PhD with at least 10 years in Legal research, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Economics, or related field.
- A Master’s Degree in combination with 5 additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the PhD advanced University Degree.
Experience:
- Strong experience in conducting research.
- Experience in combination of gender analysis and legal frameworks/constitutions is mandatory.
- Experience in presenting research papers and facilitating working sessions.
- Experience with UN Intergovernmental processes including those related to women’s empowerment, gender mainstreaming and gender equality.
- Proven experience working on law reforms.
- Experience of working with multi-stakeholder organizations is essential: governments, CSOs, and the UN/ multilateral/bilateral institutions.
- Evidence of developing advocacy and policy briefs
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to speak and write in a clear and gender-sensitive language.
Language:
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English are required;
- Working knowledge of another UN language is an advantage.
