
Governor Obaseki Restated Commitment To Stop Gender-Based Violence In Edo
Godwin Obaseki, the governor of Edo State has restated his tenure’s commitment towards putting a stop to gender-based violence in the State. Information Guide Nigeria
Obaseki said this when he and the First Lady of Edo State, Her Excellency Betsy Obaseki paid a visit to the family of late Uwaila Omozuwa who was raped and murdered on 30th May 2020 in Benin City. INDEPENDENT reports.

“Uwaila did not die in vain. The federal and state governments have taken stiffer actions against gender-based violence. We are here to continue to celebrate her life as we continue to fight against gender-based violence”.
