Having received the necessary approval from the Federal Executive Council, Azman University Governing Council hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions below:
1.) Vice-Chancellor
Location: Kano
Requirements
- Applicants for the position of Vice-Chancellor, Azman University, Kano must be distinguished scholars with outstanding academic and administrative records.
- He/she must be a proven manager of human and material resources. Specifically, the candidate should be a Professor of not less than five (5) years standing by the time of assumption and must have worked in university system for an uninterrupted period of 10 years with ability to provide academic and administrative leadership for the University.
Furthermore, the candidate should:
- Have a good understanding of the vision and mission of the University.
- Be of a strong academic standing as evidenced by the publications of books and research in high impact journals.
- Be able to attract research grants and complimentary funds from local and international agencies, and uplift the academic status of the University. Azman University Recruitment
- Possess personal integrity in the management of funds and be able to deploy financial resources as appropriate within the context of the University’s strategic plan.
- Demonstrate interpersonal and team building skills and possess the ability to build bridges between staff, students and members of the University Community and its stakeholders.
- Have demonstrable abilities to establish and maintain partnerships with local, international, government and non-governmental agencies and organizations.
- Be an individual who is likely to command the respect as well as the loyalty of members of staff and the University Community.
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to attract, motivate and retain highly skilled and talented staff
- Be able to exhibit entrepreneurial drive and ability to attract extra statutory funds and mobilize other resources for the development of the University
- Have excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Should be in a position to ensure the enforcement of the University’s laws and regulations.
- Be information and technology proficient and be committed to its use as a management tool and its development in the University programmes and services.
- Be of excellent physical and mental health.

Terms and Conditions of Service
The Vice-Chancellor shall hold office for a single term of five (5) years and on such terms and conditions as may be specified in his/her instrument of appointment.

2.) Registrar
Location: Kano
Requirements
- Candidates should have minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
- Possession of postgraduate qualification and membership of professional bodies would be an added advantage.
- Candidate must have at least fifteen (15) years administrative experience and at least ten (10) of which must be at University level.
- Candidates must be 60 years or below on appointment and must be Information and Communication Technology (ICT) compliant.

Requirements
- Prospective candidate must hold a good Bachelor of Science (honors) Degree in Accounting or any other relevant Degree from a recognized university.
- Such candidate must not be above 60 years of age on assumption
of duty, and competent in relevant accounting software(s). - In addition, he/she must be a full member of at least one of the following professional bodies:
- Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN):
- Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
- The applicant must have a minimum of 15 years cognate experience and at least 10 years of which must have been spent in the university system.

Requirements
Candidate shall possess the following qualifications and qualities:
- A relevant Ph.D
- Versatility in information technology (IT) and library automation
- A good record of scholarly publications through reputable medium.
- Shall have a minimum of 10 years cognate experience and the capacity to initiate research in a University system or comparable organization
- Shall not be above the age of 60 years at the point of assumption of duty
- Membership of relevant professional association is an added advantage.
