The following are identity cards that are officially recognized by the Federal Republic of Nigeria:

  • National Identification Card
  • Standard Nigeria passport
  • Nigerian diplomatic passport (official passport)

How to Apply for the Nigerian National Identity Card

The National identity card is the most important form of identification for every Nigerian. In case you do not yet have the National identity card, follow the steps below to get it:

  • Step 1: Visit ninenrol.gov.ng to begin your registration
  • Step 2: Fill out your data in the spaces provided. You will be required to fill out the following categories; Personal details, Address information, parent data, next of kin data, origin data, documents data, disability data, and physical features.

How to Apply for a Nigerian Voters Card

The application for the Nigerian voter’s card is carried out every four (4) years before the election date. So if you missed out on the application process last time, you’ll have to wait until the registration portal is open again to apply for yours. How to Apply for a Nigerian Driver’s Licence Identity Card

The Nigerian Driver’s identity card is an official card that states that the holder may operate one or more types of motorized vehicles, such as cars, motorcycles, trucks, or a bus, on a public road without in-vehicle supervision. The Nigerian driver’s licence identity card is issued by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC). Follow the steps below to apply for the Nigerian driver’s licence identity card:
