8 NDLEA Recruitment Requirements
1. Nationality
Applicants need to have a National Identity Number (NIN) and have been born in Nigeria in order to be considered . Additionally, computer literacy will be considered an asset for all cadres moving forward.
2. Certifications
It is not possible to later present any certificates or qualifications for career advancement in the Agency if they were not declared, tendered, and accepted at the time of recruitment.
3. Medical Fitness
Applicants are required to demonstrate that they are in good health and to present a certificate of medical fitness issued by a government hospital.

The age limit for the second and third categories is 30 years, with applicants for those categories needing to be at least 30 years old.
On the other hand, a minimum age of 40 years will be considered for medical doctors and drivers of articulated vehicles.
5. Height Requirements:
The minimum acceptable height for male applicants is 1.65 meters, and the minimum acceptable height for female applicants is 1.60 meters.
6. Professional practicing licenses
In order to practice medicine or one of the allied professions, one must have a valid practicing license. However, in order to practice law, one must first be admitted to the bar.
7. Clean Criminal Record
Applicants are required to have a clean criminal record, be of good character, and not be currently under the influence of any illegal substances.

- All successful candidates will be subjected to random illicit drug use test throughout their service in the Agency.
