Aid for Community Sustainable Development Foundation is actively engaged in a significant partnership with Caritas Nigeria, serving as a sub-recipient for the PEPFAR/CDC ACCESS HIV Project in Abia State, Nigeria. This collaboration underscores ACSD’s commitment to playing a vital role in addressing critical health issues, particularly the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS. By partnering with Caritas Nigeria, the foundation expands its reach and impact, contributing to the broader National and International efforts to combat the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Laboratory Technician

Location: Abia

Criteria for Qualification

  • Minimum of Laboratory Technician Certificate from MLSCN with current license to practice as a laboratory technician.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and make reasoned judgments in a timely fashion. Committing to a course of action without undue delay or prevarication
  • 1 year work experience.
  • Experience of dealing with difficult and sensitive situations in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work under pressure, efficiently handle multiple tasks, quickly find creative solutions to problems and challenges that arise, and manage stress and time in a fast-paced work and fluid operating environment.
  • Ability to foster and maintain a spirit of unity, teamwork, cooperation, and learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sensitivity in working with multiple cultures and beliefs, and to gender equity.
  • Moderate level proficiency with Microsoft Office software: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.

2.) Data Entry Assistant

Qualifications and Experience
Qualified applicants must have:

  • Minimum of OND or Bachelor’s Degree or HND preferable.
  • Completion of NYSC or an exemption certificate.
  • Experience in health-related M&E is an added advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in the use of computers (Word processing, Excel, and database programs).
  • Good communication and reporting skills including proficiency in both written and spoken English.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must possess a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Sciences, Arts, Public Health, Social Sciences, International Development, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in roles with progressively increasing responsibilities, demonstrating a track record of success and growth in the field.
  • Direct experience in implementing projects or programs, focusing on measurable outcomes and impact.
  • Proven experience in community work and familiarity with GON Data capturing tools is required.
  • Experience in managing or leading a team, providing guidance and mentorship and ensuring the effective coordination of monitoring and evaluation activities.
  • Understanding of project management principles, with the ability to coordinate activities within project timelines, available resources and scope.

Key Competencies:

  • Experience in program management, project management, administration, or related field
  • Understanding of budget management to effectively allocate and utilize resources for program activities.
  • Able to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively
  • Knowledgeable in program management methodology and techniques; performance evaluation and change management principles
  • Ability to think strategically and align activities with the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
  • Strong leadership skills to provide guidance, mentorship, and direction to the team and other program staff.
  • Proficient project management skills to oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of activities within the program.
