1.) Research – Project Manager

About You
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in Social Science or a relevant field, with strong research component or equivalent experience
- 8 years of experience in water, sanitation, hygiene, public health or equivalent sector,
- Experience of applied research, or equivalent demonstrable project management experience of policy-oriented or action research setting
- Experience in project management, coordination and delivery.
- Experience of cross-sector strategic engagement and communications, and knowledge sharing experience.
- Excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise workloads whilst maintaining high attention to detail and work standards
- Proven experience writing and presenting research outputs to different audiences
- Excellent communication skills and relationship management, with proven ability to build effective working relations with project partners.
- Ability to travel up to 10%

Salary
Grade F – Starting at NGN11,510,146

Requirements
To be successful in the Head of WASH role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Strong academic background (preferably at Master’s degree level) in Geology, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental sciences, Public Health or other related Social Sciences field
- Minimum twelve (12) years’ experience of development programme management and at least 3 of which must be in a senior level position focusing on delivering in WASH services.
- Prior experience working with high level government officials to influence and direct policy reform agenda
- Demonstrate sound understanding of WASH, Integrated Water Resource management issues and broader development and poverty reduction themes
- Previous experience managing programs financed particularly by USAID, FCDO, EU and others like; UN, Foundations and Private Donor
- Sound knowledge of advanced project management approaches, experience with conducting formative research and using research outcomes to make programme decisions.
- Experience with building capacity of implementing partner organizations especially CSO’s and government
- Experience in developing strategic & operational plans. Able to effectively organise self and others, plan and prioritise in line with such plans.
- Excellent relationship-building skills. Able to build and maintain trusting relationships, negotiate, influence and resolve conflicts.
- Ability to network and maintain effective relationships with multi-level stakeholders including donor representatives, government officials, private sector leaders and community-level actors.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, including active listening and ability to effectively convey information and ideas verbally and in writing
- Experience of leading, managing teams, motivating others and driving change
- Commitment to WaterAid’s values and a working style that reflects these
- Strongly embedded and with existing links and networks within the WASH sector
- Membership of key relevant professional bodies driving knowledge management, learning and innovation within the WASH sector

3.) Senior Advisor, WASH Monitoring

About You
- Extensive commitment, experience and demonstrable knowledge and skills in the area of WASH monitoring, systems thinking and sustainable WASH in developing countries, demonstrated through a progressive career record with at least the most recent significant experience being in a similar level role.
- A relevant Post Graduate degree or equivalent.
- Proven intermediate level competence in use of ICT tools such as mWater, ArcGIS, and Excel.
- Very strong writing ability in English. Ability to synthesise information, analyse its relevance and communicate it in accessible formats that target the needs of different audiences.
- Proven experience of working with local government, national government and service providers (including utilities) in low income settings.
