DAILY POST reports that news of Obi Cubana’s arrest flooded social media and generated reactions from concerned Nigerians.

It could be recalled that Obi Cubana came to limelight when he hosted his late mother’s burial in Oba, Anambra State with over 200 cows reportedly slaughtered and several celebrities, businessmen, and women, including politicians who turned out in large numbers for the funeral.

Speaking, an On-Air Personality in a radio station in Abuja, Adeyemo Michael, a.k.a Mr Microphone, said that the arrest of Obi Cubana is happening at a time when his state of origin, Anambra State is already tensed up.

“If they fail to release him today, I’m not sure the governorship election will hold. This is definitely not what we are expecting from the federal government right now”.

Also speaking, a spare parts trader in the nation’s capital who identified himself as Ifeanyi said, “the IPOB members are commencing a one-week sit-at-home beginning from Thursday over the arrest of our beloved Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who has been detained in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS, for just demanding for his right.
