If the transfer is not authorized by CAS, Araujo will be forced to play for another club until the summer, according to director Mateu Alemany.
At the same time, a return to the LA Galaxy over the following five months is no longer considered a possibility. As a result, Araujo might stay in Barcelona and train with Rafa Marquez’s Barça Atletic until the summer, when the signing can be finalized.NYSC portal

According to Portera Nunez, with Araujo’s approaching arrival, Barcelona do not intend to recruit a new right-back this summer and will only consider it if a player becomes available for a ‘crazy deal’.
Araujo will be enrolled as a reserve squad member but will almost certainly be called up to the first-team setup as needed.
Meanwhile, Sergi Roberto’s contract will be extended for another year, and with Jules Kounde also available, the Blaugrana believe they have the position covered.
Sergino Dest will also return from his loan spell at AC Milan, however, Barcelona are expected to release him.
The La Liga leaders have been connected with players such as Juan Foyth, Benjamin Pavard, and Thomas Meunier as potential right-back reinforcements.
