
Breaking: Aston Villa complete fourth summer transfer as Steven Gerrard makes £3m swoop
Aston Villa have secured the signing of goalkeeper Robin Olsen on a permanent deal from Roma as Steven Gerrard secures his fourth signing of the summer transfer window.

According to birminghammail report, the Swedish shot-stopper, who has 56 international caps to his name, arrived on an initial loan deal in January after being recalled from his spell at Sheffield United to join Gerrard’s squad. It is understood that Villa negotiated a €3.5million (£3m) option to buy at the time and have since triggered the clause to bring Olsen to Villa Park permanently.JAMB Result

Olsen offers an experienced back-up to Villa’s number one Emi Martinez, having featured in the World Cup, Champions League, and across Europe’s top leagues including Serie A and the Premier League.
He becomes Gerrard’s fourth signing of the summer so far. Villa have also made Phillipe Coutinho’s loan permanent, while striking deals to bring in Boubacar Kamara and Diego Carlos.
