Jungkook, a member of the K-pop supergroup BTS, has broken a new record and dominated iTunes charts with his World Cup single “Dreamers.”Information Guide Nigeria
The ‘Euphoria’ singer, who was chosen to perform at the opening ceremony in Qatar, debuted the song in its entirety on Sunday, before his live performance of the tune.
According to aceshowbiz.com, as soon as the song was released, it soared to the top of iTunes charts in multiple nations around the globe.
The track had already reached No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 102 different regions, including the world’s eight largest music markets, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, France, Canada, Australia, Germany, and Italy, within 13 hours of its first release.
‘Dreamers’ also established a new record for the quickest official FIFA World Cup song to reach No. 1 on the iTunes Top Songs chart in the United States.
The song topped the list in barely 2 hours and 11 minutes, according to the News Herald of South Korea.
Later, Jungkook performed “Dreamers” at Albaite Stadium in Qatar. Midway through the song, Fahad Al Kubaisi, a singer from Qatar, joined him onstage.
Along with a group of backing dancers, he displayed his energetic dancing skills while wearing a glittery black jacket.

Besides Jungkook, who was billed as the main act, and Fahad Al Kubaisi, the World Cup opening ceremony featured Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman, who delivered a speech about the “emotions that connect us all now.”
He added: “We gather here as one big tribe and Earth is the tent we all live in.”
