The four key Tottenham players Antonio Conte could be without for Carabao Cup clash with Chelsea
Chelsea will be hoping they can finish the job on Tottenham when the two London rivals go head-to-head again on Wednesday evening. The Blues boast a 2-0 advantage after the first-leg at Stamford Bridge that the hosts won thanks to goals from Kai Havertz and an own goal from Ben Davies in the first half of the clash in west London.
It is set to be a different task for Thomas Tuchel and his team this week, though, when they travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to face Spurs in the decisive leg, with both teams being one game away from a trip to Wembley in February. infoguidenigeria
However, Antonio Conte is set to be missing four key players for the match with Chelsea, which will come as a huge blow to the former Blues boss.
However, Infoguidenigeria runs you through the latest injury news from the Spurs camp.
Romero has been sidelined for Tottenham since suffering an injury while on international duty with Argentina during the last break. The Spurs boss said: “We are talking about another player that is very close to coming back. Today, Cristian had a little part of a training session with us. He is very close to coming back.”

Dier, meanwhile, missed Tottenham’s FA Cup third round victory over Morecambe at the weekend and is now a doubt for the clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday. jamb result
Conte, when asked if Dier was missing, said: “Yeah, but I don’t want to speak about the names. A couple of injuries that they are very close, very close to start to play again, but it’s better not to take a stupid risk for the game tomorrow because we risk losing players for a long time.”
Son suffered an injury in last week’s defeat to Chelsea and has been ruled out until at least the end of the month – serving Tottenham a massive blow. And the spur boss said: “He has an injury. I don’t know but probably they could stay without training session until the end of this cycle, before the international break.”
Bergwijn has been absent since Tottenham’s Boxing Day victory over Crystal Palace with a calf problem. Conte chose not to speak about the Netherlands international in Tuesday’s press conference, indicating that he will not be available for this week’s second leg.
