According to express report, Chelsea’s agreement with Christopher Nkunku means Graham Potter now has a huge problem with how to deal with Romelu Lukaku when he returns to the club next summer. The Belgian was the Blues‘ marquee signing in 2021 when he rejoined the club from Inter Milan in a £95million deal but failed to impress and was shipped back to the San Siro by Thomas Tuchel this summer on loan.Infomation Guide Nigeria
Chelsea look set to complete a deal for RB Leipzig‘s Nkunku with the Blues agreeing on a deal in excess of his £52.2million release clause to sign the player next summer. The west London side was keen to offer more for his services now rather than risk entering a transfer war next year with a host of clubs including Manchester United believed to be interested in his services.

Nkunku is likely to quickly become the first choice at Stamford Bridge alongside the likes of Raheem Sterling, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mason Mount in the starting lineup. The opportunities would hence appear limited for the Belgian with it being quickly apparent that Potter does not really fancy the striker’s ability, similar to his predecessor.Jamb Result
The Englishman and chairman Todd Boehly may therefore seek to move the 29-year-old on permanently. However, with high wages and an expected huge transfer fee this may prove to be difficult. The current agreement with Inter sees Chelsea pay a significant amount of his wages, something they may not be willing to do again, although it is something they have history for.
