El Clasico: Koeman makes claim after Real Madrid defeated Barcelona at Camp Nou

Barcelona boss, Ronald Koeman, has claimed that his side performance against Real Madrid showed that the Blaugrana can match up with any team in the world despite his side’s 2-1 loss to the Los Blanco on Sunday.

Goals from David Alaba and Lucas Vazquez gave Carlo Ancelotti’s men all three points against Barcelona at Nou Camp

Speaking after the game, Koeman said at his post-match press conference, “I understand the people’s frustration, but today we have shown that we are not inferior to Real Madrid.

“If we had made it 1-0 and not conceded instead, everything would have changed.

“It is true that we were good in the first half and we controlled the game well. We had a great opportunity to take the lead.

“But in the second half, they have done their part and defended well and we have not been able to create danger.Information Guide Nigeria

“You have to be vigilant with their counter-attacks. The team did their best to draw. We are disappointed by the result but not by what we have done as a team.

“They have had chances, but it has been an even game and when this happens, it is very important to score first. They are dangerous on the counter-attack.”

FC Barcelona are now 9th on the LaLiga table with 15 points from 9 matches.JAMB Result
