

Ortom stated this on Wednesday, 20th October 2021 at the Benue Peoples House, Makurdi, when he hosted a delegation of Nasarawa State Traditional Rulers on behalf of the State Government on a condolence visit.
The decision led by the Emir of Keffi, Dr. Shehu Chindo, was followed by other traditional rulers in the state.
The Nasarawa State Traditional Council visited the state to commiserate with Governor Ortom and the Benue State Traditional Council over the ‘hunting expedition’ made by the Ochi’Doma, Elias Ikoyi Obekpa. jamb results
According to Benue Governor, the Tiv people and Fulanis had lived together peacefully until exported Fulanis were permitted to move into the country unchecked to cause the current violence being witnessed in the country.

On the ranching law, Governor Ortom expatiated that the law is a win-win for herders and farmers as it stops open grazing and cattle rearing, stressing that the law does not permit any offender from prosecution.
Governor Ortom, commended Engineer Abdullahi Sule, his Nasarawa State colleague, for his efforts to ensuring peace between the people of the two states, adding that the traditional rulers also have a big role to play in that aspect.
