FG Partners with Konga to Create Jobs for Nigerian Youths

Nigeria’s Minister of Youths and Sports, Sunday Dare, on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with an E-commerce Firm, Konga. Information Guide Nigeria

Following the unveiling of Konga Jobs (KJ), youth empowerment and job creation scheme of the Konga Group, the Chairman of Konga Group, Leo Stan Ekeh, said that they believe that the private-public partnership will reduce unemployment in Nigeria adding that unemployed and under-employment Nigerian youths will benefit from the scheme.

TheGuardian reports that partnering the private-public partnership will ensure Konga deploys its assets, huge resources, and cutting-edge technology backbone, while also placing its growing list of thriving subsidiaries across multiple verticals at the disposal of Nigerian youths, who are desirous of an opportunity to earn a meaningful living and create wealth. Speaking Co-CEO, Konga Group, Imudia said, the company is already conducting a pilot with the Ministry of Youths and Sports and have recorded a number of 350 youths already while emphazising that Konga plans to create jobs for over 500,000 Nigerian youths and over 500,000 African youths by 2025.

Imudia added that their plan also involves having at least one Konga agent in every kindred in the country.
