‘Give us an agency to see to our welfare’ – Persons with Disability beg Osun Gov.
Physically challenged in Osun State has pleaded with the State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola to establish an organisation in which their welfare will be look into. Information Guides Nigeria
They also wanted a forty percent quota in the ongoing teachers’ recruitment in the state.
The agency made this call during a chat with the Special Adviser on Civic Engagement, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye in a program tagged; Governor’s Family Meeting organised by the aide.
The spokesperson of People Living with Disability in Olaoluwa Local Government, Rahman Rauf, who made the appeal described the creation of the organisation as a necessity which the government must welcome, as it would help promotes Oyetola’s administration. jamb results

In his words, “We believe if the agency is created it will serve as an institutional mechanism of achieving a full-fledged implementation of the United Nations Convention for People Living with Disability, as it aims at promoting, protecting and ensuring the full and equal enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms by all persons with disabilities, as well as promoting respect for their inherent dignity.
In his response, Oyintiloye stated that the current administration believes that the organisation deserve equal right and privileges as other citizens, adding that the government would not stop making policies and programmes that would directly impact their lives positively.
