

The House of Representatives has called for proper utilization of funds and reduction in the proposed domestic and external borrowing in the 2022 appropriation bill that is being considered by the National Assembly.JAMB Result
INDEPENDENT reports that this call was made by the ChairÂman, House Committee on Judiciary, Hon. Luke Onofiok, Minority Leader, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, Hon. Abubakar Kabir and other lawmakers during the debate on the general prinÂciples of the 2022 Appropriation Bill.
Recall that recently, President Muhammadu Buhari said, “We plan to finance the defiÂcit mainly by new borrowing totaling N5.01 trillion, N90.73 bilÂlion from privatisation proceeds and N1.16 trillion drawdowns on loans secured for specific development projects.”
According to INDEPENDENT, Hon. Luke Onofiok however commended the federal government for budgeting about N50 billion for hazard allowance for medical personnel.

As reported by INDEPENDENT, the lawmakers also suggested that the Federal Government should increase the hazard allowance from N5,000 which has been for over 20 years to something that will boost the morale of medical personnel in Nigeria.
