Jose Mourinho’s Tammy Abraham promise can help Manchester United solve transfer problem
Manchester United need striking reinforcements in the summer. With the guaranteed departure of Edinson Cavani when his contract expires and Anthony Martial’s potential departure, Cristiano Ronaldo will be left as the only true striker at the club.
The Manchester Evening News understands that United are interested in signing a young striker in the summer transfer window to play alongside Ronaldo and become the club’s main striker when the Portuguese forward leaves the club. But it is not as simple as just signing a forward with potential; Erik ten Hag needs a number nine who can link up the play and also act as a poacher in the box.Information Guide Nigeria

Abraham has scored 24 goals in 49 appearances so far this season and his goals in the UEFA Conference League have propelled Roma into the final where they will face Feyenoord. And Mourinho has been full of praise for the forward.
“We have got into this situation where I demand a lot from him because I know he can do amazingly well. I don’t think it’s an easy decision for a young player to leave his club, his house, his city, his country and to leave the Premier League which is of course a competition that when a player is in its hard to leave. He took that option and I think he took it because he trusted me.” – Mourinho said.
According to the manchestereveningnews, the Portuguese manager stated in the same interview that if the English striker wanted to leave, he would not stand in his way.
He said: “And I think in this moment, if he wants to go back to England – I don’t think he wants to no – but if he wants to go back to England he just needs to click his fingers and I’m so happy for him.”
This opens the door for United to make a move for Abraham, however, he will not come cheap, with some reports stating he would only be allowed to leave if Roma received a bid of around £100m. Though if Ten Hag wants the perfect player to lead the line for his new project at Old Trafford, they should consider paying the price.JAMB Result
