The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been marked the ‘Best Nigerian Governor in Internal Audit Transformation’, by the Institute of Internal Auditors of Nigeria. Information Guide Nigeria

The award was in appreciation and recognition of the governor’s significant transformation of the internal audit function in the state.

Obafemi Hamzat, Sanwo-Olu’s deputy received the award on his behalf at the 2021 National Conference of the Institute of Internal Auditors yesterday in Lagos.

According to Mr Hamzat, Sanwo-Olu’s administration has considered auditors as strategic partners in discharging its responsibilities to the masses.

Hamzat also restated that there is a need for internal auditors to re-invent their role, especially in the face of cloud computing where the data centre was outside the country and Artificial Intelligence (AI) controlling operations. jamb results

He advised the institute to involve different training programmes that would help members to effectively undertake their responsibilities.
