
Man Arrested In Katsina For Sending ‘Offensive’ Message
The Police Command in Katsina State has arrested a 39-year-old man named Ahmed Abdulmumini, for sending an offensive message to the governor’s aide.
According to PUNCH, Ahmed Abdulmumini has been arrested by the Katsina State Police Command for alleged cyber-stalking.

PUNCH reports that Abdulmumini was arrested following a complaint by Governor Aminu Masari’s Special Adviser on Domestic Affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Umar who said that Abdulmumini made derogatory remarks about him via email. Jamb Result
Aminu Masari claimed that he saw the offensive message when going through various goodwill messages sent to him by people on his 55th birthday.
Speaking, the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Gambo Isah said, “Abdulmumini was consequently arrested; he confessed during interrogation to have sent the e-mail. He has committed an offence under Section 24 (1) A & B of the Cybercrime Act, 2015”. Information Guide Nigeria
However, PUNCH reports that Abdulmumini said in Hausa, “It is true I sent the email to him, but my intention was not to deride or defame him.”
