According to liverpoolecho, Salah also confirmed in the interview that his favourite goal for Liverpool was at Manchester City in the Champions League in 2018 and his favourite match was the Champions League triumph against Tottenham Hotspur in 2019. But when asked what individual goal he still wanted to achieve in his career, the Anfield hero immediately responded: “The Ballon d’Or”.
Quizzed on how close he felt he was to become only the second African player, after George Weah, to win the prestigious award, he added: “Hopefully not far.”
