Nigeria Set To Restore Rubber Industry

Abdullahi Mohammed, the Minister of State for  Science, Technology, and Innovation has said that the Nigerian Government has made a lot of progress towards reconditioning the Rubber Industry in the nation.

Mohammed disclosed this when he gave an address at the National Conference For the Industrialization of Rubber Sector, Abuja. Information Guide Nigeria

In his address entitled: ”Raw Materials Development; The Economic Imperative of Rubber Value Chain Development in Nigeria,”  he said there is a need to shift the economy from over-dependency on petroleum. Voice Of Nigeria reports.

Mohammed also stated that there are more things to be done to ensure sustainable development and industrialization of the sector, such as the need for partnering between governments.

He further called on Rubber exporting countries like Nigeria to get involved in the actualisation of good programme which combines production levels and required technology input for the sustainable growth of the sector.
