Rohr confirms the powers that stopped him from replacing Musa with Iwobi in loss to Argentina
Super Eagles Manager Gernot Rohr has detailed the story behind Super Eagles of Nigeria’s elimination from the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Gernot Rohr’s team were beaten 2-1 by Argentina in their last group game.
Rohr has now come out to reveal that people in people in high places, believed to be the very top of the Nigeria Football Federation, blocked him from replacing the visibly tired Ahmed Musa with Alex Iwobi.
Rohr told Elegbete TV Sports: “The players we had on the pitch did so well and nobody wanted to go out.

“You can concede a goal and it’s perhaps not because you didn’t change a player, you can concede a goal because there’s Argentina in your face and they also have good players.
“It’s not a shame to concede a goal in the last minutes against Argentina who scored the goal with a lucky shot from far away.
The Super Eagles ended Group D with three points, unfortunately, it was not enough to see them through one less than Argentina who finished as runners-up.JAMB Result
