Responsibilities

• Work on projects, scoping out the nature and purpose of the information required by clients
• Collect, store, analyze, and present geographical and spatial information
• Use a range of GPS tools in the field to capture the location of ‘assets’ such as bridges, street lights, road barriers, and flood defenses
• Undertake desk-based data capture (digitizing) to convert paper maps to GIS datasets to, for example, record the location of telecom cables or water pipelines from original maps.
• Create and maintain the structures necessary for GIS data storage
• Develop tools for loading/transferring GIS data between different systems
• Manipulate, analyze, and present geographical information by creating programs to convert GIS information from one format to another
• Develop internet apps to present GIS data and tools on corporate websites
• Use tools to join together different GIS datasets and create new information or investigate patterns, e.g. estimating the number of people potentially affected by flooding, using population growth figures and planning information to estimate increasing/decreasing demand for school capacity, or calculating the number of potential customers for a new supermarket and predicting buying patterns based on socio-economic factors. Salary
N80,000 – N150,000 / month.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}}

Requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree, HND, NCE, OND, SSCE / GCE / NECO qualification.

Skills:

• Extensive knowledge about mobile app development. This includes the whole process, from the first line of code to publishing in the store(s)
• Deep knowledge of Android/iOS or both Familiarity with RESTful APIs and mobile libraries for networking, specifically
• Familiarity with the JSON format Experience with profiling and debugging mobile applications
• Strong knowledge of architectural patterns – MVP, MVC, MVVM, and Clean Architecture – and the ability to choose the best solution for the app
• Familiarity with Git
• Familiarity with push notifications
• Understanding mobile app design guidelines on each platform and being aware of their differences
• Proficiency in Kotlin / Java / Flutter / any other native technologies
